The Knowledge Hierarchy ... beyond Fear

Here is my cut at the Knowledge of God Hierarchy... as you can see, Fear is merely voltage for discipline. Beyond that a deeper voltage is necessary which is Love...

I understand your comment about balance ... but I am suggesting in the diagram that it is a hierarchy with one being before the other in the search for knowledge. Are you saying that you don't see it as a hierarchy?

Hi Nicole,
No the figure is not implying that the elements on the left hand side our layered. Those are just conditions for the parts of the hierarchy (on the right). So, fear is the beginning of knowledge because it motivates you to change. It keeps you wary of straying from the path of knowledge, etc.
Once you do that and stay on the path of knowledge it requires discipline to gain understanding and insight into the complexity of the world. You must begin by seeking to understand (Stephen Covey asserts this in the 7 habits)...
Fear and Discipline are not connected in this hierarchy... what is connected are the levels of knowledge. In other words, you must have fear in order to motivate you to seek understanding (instead of just apathy or the "whatever" virus as I like to call it ;^) ). Once you exercise regularly the discipline towards studying the environment with an open mind you will receive insight and understanding. But insight and understanding will not be enough to really make great strides and great accomplishments. For the big successes in knowledge one requires love. For love is what really creates deep passion to overcome all the obstacles, it also makes the seeker not worry about time frames or fame - just the purest form of service for a goal greater than yourself: to discover the truth.
But even great accomplishments are not the culmination of knowledge. To achieve wisdom, I assert, must be accompanied by being touched by God. It requires direct contact with your spirit to truly be wise in all things. I don't see wisdom as a one time event ... it is an advanced state of actualization.
I am positing that "striving and will" does not seem to be enough for that hurdle...
